Terms of Service

By using Budget by Hand you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. We've kept this readable on purpose.

Budget by Hand is a tool for tracking your own spending and budgeting by hand (typing, scanning a receipt, or importing a CSV). It is a personal organisation tool — it is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and the numbers it shows are only as accurate as what you enter.

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure and for the activity under your Budget by Hand account. One person per account.

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, no unlawful use, and nothing that infringes others' rights. We may suspend accounts that do.

• Budget by Hand is free. There is no paid plan, no trial, and nothing in the app is locked behind a payment. We do not collect card details.
• We may later offer optional paid extras — additional features built on top of what exists today. If that happens, everything the service does at the time you read this stays free, and we will not move an existing feature behind a payment.
• Because nothing is sold today, there is nothing to refund. If that changes, this section will be updated before any charge is possible, and your statutory rights always apply.

Your data is yours. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy. Keep your own backups of anything important — while we take care with your data, you are responsible for your records.

Budget by Hand is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for financial decisions you make using the app. Nothing here limits rights that can't be limited under the law that applies to you.

You can stop using Budget by Hand and delete your account any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if we discontinue the service; we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and note material changes in the app. Continuing to use Budget by Hand means you accept the updated terms.
